White Sox Walk It Off in Iowa

One could not script it any better than what happened at the Field of Dreams game in Dyersville, Iowa last night. The White Sox started off the evening with a single home run by Abreu to put Chicago on top. As the night went on, it was a back and forth game throughout, but it wasn’t until the 9th inning were things started to get heated. A homer from Judge and Stanton put the Yankees in the lead, but that didn’t deter the White Sox. It was the bottom of the 9th inning with one out and Tim Anderson comes to the plate with a runner on first. Tim smacks a two run homer and handed the Chicago White Sox their first win ever in the Field of Dreams.

A truly magical game. It was refreshing especially after watching the Red Sox take a beating from Tampa Bay. I really hope that Major League Baseball makes this an annual thing.
