Chris Sale is Back in Red Sox Win Over Baltimore

It has been almost two years since Chris Sale’s Tommy John surgery, but he came back like he never left. Sale commanded the game with eighty-nine pitches, eight strike outs, and the win. Sale did give up two homers to Hayes and Mancini in the third, but was able to recover and the Orioles didn’t score the rest of the game. It’s definitely good to see Chris Sale make his way back to the bull pin and as Boston gets ready to (hopefully) make the post season, it couldn’t happen at a better time.

“Good to get back out on a big league mound again doing what I’m supposed to do with my teammates. Having my family and friends here, I’m just really appreciative. … I know that I’ve put in a lot of work and a lot of people around me have put in a lot of work for me to be able to go do what I did tonight.”
