The Red Sox are on a three-game winning streak as Boston beat Seattle last night 7-3, but the big story of the night was when former Red Sox and World Series Champion Johnny Gomes caught Trevor Story’s Grand Slam during the third inning.
On a one-two pitch, Story crushed a slider and it landed near Johnny Gomes just beyond the Green Monster.
Gomes eventually gave Story the souvenir as this was his first Grand Slam as a Red Sox.
Trevor commented on the hit via CBS Sports. ”I just had him sign it for me. My first grand slam as a Red Sox, that was something I thought was pretty special. It was a really cool moment. I had him sign the other side,” Trevor Story said.
A pretty cool moment in deed!
