Peyton Manning on The Pat McAfee Show about Texas and Oklahoma Entering the SEC, ‘I think it’s going to be awesome for the Southeastern Conference’

Peyton “The Sheriff” Manning was on the July 18 episode of The Pat McAfee Show discussing whether or not Texas and Oklahoma entering the Southeastern Conference was a good thing.

“I think it’s going to be awesome for the Southeastern Conference,” Peyton said.

I have to agree and like Pat McAfee mentioned, “It is a religion down there, it really is, and I think that is what I’ve learned through College Gameday, the most.”

Growing up in South Carolina, I remember watching and listening to Gamecock football and our Big Game, was the Carolina vs Clemson matchup.  The SEC is huge in the south, especially the deep south.

After I left for the military, we eventually settled in Florida and I was able to finish my education at the University of Florida.  And while it may not be with South Carolina where I grew up, I was fortunate enough to graduate from a school that is in the Southeastern Conference.

Adding Oklahoma and Texas will just make that conference even better by bringing in a larger fan base and more matchups than ever before.

I mean, an SEC Championship between Texas A&M and Texas would be amazing.  Although, I would prefer to see my Gators in it, but we’ll see what happens.
