I told my wife that if Boston won seven games during this homestand, I’d become a believer again. She guessed they would win six. Turns out, we were both wrong. The Boston Red Sox won eight of their 10 games during their longest home stretch of the season and now sit in second place in the American League Wild Card standings—something I never would have believed at the beginning of the season.
Today marks the final day of SEC Media Days, which means the countdown to the 2026 college football season is officially on. We’re still 37 days away from kickoff, but the excitement surrounding the season is already building. New Florida head coach Jon Sumrall met with the media to discuss the state of the Gators football program and answer questions about the road ahead.

David Pastrnak scored the game winning goal late in the first overtime against the Buffalo Sabres to force a Game 6 in Boston on Friday. Boston’s Lindholm got into the action with a goal halfway through the second period tying the game up at one goal apiece.
