Nothing better than October baseball! This year, I get to watch the Red Sox in the Wild Card against their rivals the New York Yankees. I was worried about this game because the last few series against the Orioles and the Nationals the Boston Red Sox seemed to struggle with both teams. Last night against New York, however, the Red Sox were on a mission and it showed.
With the exception of two home runs from Rizzo and Stanton, the offense was all Boston. After the home run from Bogaerts, everything seemed to go in Boston’s direction.
‘Now we go to the next one, and we’ve just got to be ready to face a great baseball team. Coming into the season, everybody talked about them being the best team in the big leagues, and we have a huge challenge. But we’re ready for it.” – Boston Red Sox Manager Alex Cora
Boston will face the five-game series this Thursday against the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Divisional Series (ALDS).
