Florida Still Needs Work in Samford Victory

It’s pretty sad that the Florida Gators are so bad now that I have to watch them on the alternate SEC channel or ESPN plus.  It’s frustrating, yet here we are.  Even though the Gators won yesterday, it feels like a loss.  Sloppy gameplay and a lack of defense still plagues Florida.

What should have been a good old fashion ass beating against the Samford Bulldogs, it turned into a shoot-out and almost a Florida upset.  In the end, the Gators did win but was it really?

Florida’s defense allowed Samford to gain 530 total yards with 416 of those being passes.  Emory Jones surprisingly didn’t through an interception and threw for 6 touchdowns, but it was against a very bad Samford defense.

“No one is going to be harder on me than me.  I love to win. I’m a competitor. I love to win. There is nobody that is more disappointed, not just in wins and losses, but when we don’t live up to the Gator Standard than me.” Coach Dan Mullen said.

Only two more weeks of Gator football left, so hopefully they can muster up some wins and get a bowl game to finish out this disappointing season.
