Boston Bruin rookies John Beecher and Mason Lohrei both scored a goal in a win over the Stars in Dallas, Texas last night. Beecher has only played in 12 NHL games this season, so to get this goal and have Boston take the lead was huge for the young hockey player.
“I think it’s just about as happy as you could ever be. Not only to get the first one but to score a big goal in an away game to help your team win. My line played fantastic tonight and helped me get a couple of opportunities, so it was good,” Beecher said in a postgame interview.
Brad Marchand also scored late in the 3rd period. Boston goalie Jeremy Swayman had 35 saves for the Bruins as well.
Next up for the Bruins are the New York Islanders on Thursday, November 9th.
