Fired Up Fridays:  Jets Turn on Afterburners and Leave Bruins in the Dust with a 6-2 Loss

The Boston Bruins hocky club is in a hot mess right now.  Puck handling is sloppy, no shots on goal, and the team is not playing in sync, at all.  For Boston Bruins fans, the pain is real.

After a penalty against Marchand, the hockey gods finally throw Boston a bone and allow Lindholm to get a short-handed goal early in the third to tie things up at 2-2.  Sadly, though, Boston allows the Jets to take the lead right back with an easy score by Winnipeg’s Scheifele making the score 3-2.

The rest of the third period turned into a deep pit of despair and anguish.

Nothing worked.  Missed shots, careless puck management, and obvious frustration from the Boston Bruins sealed their fate.

With the loss against the Jets, Boston has fallen out of the Wild Card race, for now.  Currently ranked NO. 3, behind the Columbus Blue Jackets, there is still time to make up ground before the end of the regular season in April.

It needs to start this Saturday, however, against the New York Rangers.
