Fired Up Fridays: Saint Patrick’s Day Edition

Saint Patrick’s Day is almost here and that means spring is officially around the corner, baseball season starts, and college basketball March Madness will be starting soon.

With the weather starting to finally warm up, we ventured out to Manassas last weekend to check out their St. Patrick’s Day parade and there were plenty of floats this year as well as a bunch of pipe and drum bands.

After the parade we ended up hitting the local Wegmans to get some things for dinner and went back home for a nice cookout.  Turned out to be a really good day weather wise and couldn’t ask for a better Saturday.

Check out some of the pictures from the parade and the bag pipes video below.  Full photo album can be viewed here.

Baseball Season Officially Starts March 27

There are a full slate of games on March 17 as teams make final preparations for the season start on March 27.  The Red Sox are playing two games, actually.  The first one is against Baltimore and the second against the Atlanta Braves.

The Red Sox looked good against Tampa Bay Rays yesterday as all three of their top prospects hit homers.  Kristian Campbell, Marcelo Mayer, and Roman Anthony all homered during a Spring Breakout event which was held at Charlotte Sports Park in Charlotte County, Florida.

Definitely looking forward to baseball this year.  With these three-looking good, the signing of Alex Bregman, and a healthy Rafael Devers, the Red Sox are poised to have a good year and hopefully a playoff run this fall.

March Madness a Few Days Away

Don’t forget to set your brackets!  March Madness officially starts on March 20!

You can print the bracket now, but after Selection Sunday, March 16, the bracket will become official with all the teams listed.

The NCAA Tournament is scheduled to start on March 18 and run until March 30.  The Final Four will be on April 5 to April 7.

It’s Friday and St. Patrick’s Day Weekend, Time to Get Fired Up!!
