Fired up Saturday fizzled pretty fast after my Gators fell to the LSU Tigers during the early game. Because of sloppy game play, interceptions (four total), and literally no defense Coach O and company won this game easily. Thankfully Florida has a bye next week because Coach Mullen has a LOT of tweaking to do before they face Georgia in week nine.

The Red Sox, however, had an outstanding game against the Houston Astros. With JD Martinez and Rafael Devers hitting grand slams, the Red Sox took an 8-0 lead by the third inning. Boston became the first team to hit two grand slams in a postseason game. Nathan Eovaldi made it to almost six innings, which was nice. The Red Sox head back to Fenway to face Houston in game three on Monday, October 25th.

Saturday was a great day for sports. College football early afternoon, Red Sox baseball late afternoon, and then Bruins hockey in the evening.
Hockey is back as the Boston Bruins faced off against the Dallas Stars for the season opener at TD Garden in Boston. Marchand and DeBrusk both ended up scoring against the Stars with the Bruins winning 3-1 in the season opener. The Bruins’ next game will be against the Flyers in Philadelphia on Wednesday, October 20th.
