Fired Up Saturday: Red Sox Fissile, Bruins Win over Sabres, and Go Hokies!

The Boston Red Sox lost to Houston last night and it sux.  Not that they lost, but how they lost.  The team looked beat even before the first pitch and it showed.  Boston could not get a hit to save their life.  I told my wife last night, “After the loss in game five it’s almost as if someone landed a gut punch to the Red Sox.”  I just don’t understand how a team can get 22 runs in Games 2 and 3, but Games 4,5, and 6 only get three!  It’s insane!

Nevertheless, it was great to see Red Sox play in October and I look forward to the next season starting in March 2022.

Now that baseball is over, we can concentrate on Boston hockey and the remaining games of college football.  Even though the Red Sox lost, the Bruins got the win against the Buffalo Sabres.  Coyle, Hall, Nosek, and Pastrnak all scored a goal Friday night at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY.

Next game is against the San Jose Sharks at TD Garden in Boston, MA.

Fired up college football Saturday is here! With my Florida Gators having a bye week, we are fired up for the Virginia Tech Hokies.  The Hokies will play Syracuse at 12:30pm at home in Lane Stadium/Worsham Field.

The Orange are 3-4 for season so far, so hopefully it will be a good game with Virginia Tech winning in the end.  Syracuse lost at home last week to Clemson, so they will be looking to rebound.  Playing at home, though, Virginia Tech should win this game and will improve to 4-3 for the season.

Let’s get fired up! Have a great weekend!

Go Gators!
