Red Sox Win in Baltimore Thanks to a Christian Arroyo Home Run

After a losing series in Toronto, the Boston Red Sox were desperate for a much needed a win against their American League East rivals, the Baltimore Orioles.  Thankfully, early in the second inning and a home run from Christian Arroyo, Boston took a 2-0 lead against Baltimore.  Later, Vázquez was able to hit one to right field allowing Jackie Bradley Junior to score due to an error by right fielder Trey Mancini.

Red Sox Pitcher Matt Strahm struck out Chris Owings and secured Boston’s win over the Orioles.

The Red Sox will start Nathan Eovaldi on Saturday night in Camden Yards at 7:05pm EDT.

J.D. Martinez was out with a left adductor strain, but is expected to be back in Saturday’s matchup against the Orioles.

The Red Sox are 9-12 thus far in the season.
