Two fights, a last-minute goal, and a shoot-out. What more can you ask for on a Sunday night game of hockey in America?
The Boston Bruins were getting their asses kicked, and that’s putting it mildly.
I had this game pretty much written off and put in the loss column, but Boston inevitably had other plans.
First period ended up with no goals. Then second period ended and still no goals.
But when the third period started, the fireworks began.
Charlie McAvoy scores, then Pavel Zacha scores, and in dramatic fashion with literally 11 seconds left in the game, Zacha scores again!
Jeremy Swayman closed out the game with 21 blocked shots, but the game belonged to Pavel Zacha as he scored two power play goals and put Boston in a OT match against the Blue Jackets.
An unbelievable game and a great comeback win. Truly a hockey game for the ages.
An unbelievable comeback by the Boston Bruins last night against Columbus! I had this game written off in the loss column, but the fight the Bs mustered up in the third period was invigorating!! Crazy ending … 😵 pic.twitter.com/j1jliYs2OV
