Carolina Panthers to the Hall of Fame Game
For the record, the Carolina Panthers are undefeated in Hall of Fame Games. In fact, they’re a perfect 1-0. The last time the Panthers played in the Hall of Fame Game was during their inaugural season on July 29, 1995.
Fullback Bob Christian scored the first touchdown in franchise history on a pass from quarterback Frank Reich, and it was glorious. The Panthers eventually defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 20-14.
Since then, Carolina has not appeared in another NFL Hall of Fame Game — until now. With former Panthers linebacker and 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Luke Kuechly set to be enshrined in Canton, Ohio, the selection makes perfect sense. On August 6, 2026, the Carolina Panthers will face the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL Hall of Fame Game.
In addition to watching that game, I’ll also get to see the Panthers in action in Week 4 against Detroit, Week 8 against Green Bay, and Week 12 — Thanksgiving weekend — against division rival Tampa Bay.
Summer isn’t even here yet, but it’s still nice to talk about football. We’re under 90 days until the NFL season kicks off and just 99 days away from Week 0 of college football. I want to enjoy summer, but I’m already getting a little excited for football season!
