Boston Bruins Captain Patrice Bergeron played in his 1,200th game yesterday against the New York Islanders at home in the Garden. Bergeron is the 120th player to accomplish this goal in NHL history. Bruin’s Coach Bruce Cassidy said, “I told him we need you around for 1,300, by the way, and beyond. Credit to him to play for one organization that long. Obviously, that tells you a little bit about both sides. He loves it here and we love having him.”
Patrice Bergeron becomes a free agent after this year.
Pastrnak, Bergeron, DeBrusk, Hall, Marchand, and Smith all scored goals during the game and Linus Ullmark had 24 saves for the Bruins.
Next up is the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday, March 29 at 7:00pm EDT.
