Fired Up Saturday: Homecoming for the Gators as they Face the Tigers of Mizzou

Itโ€™s Homecoming week and the Gators are hoping to celebrate with their first SEC win against the Missouri Tigers.  The Gators had a commanding win over the Eastern Washington Eagles last week and look to carry that momentum into this game against Missouri.

QB Anthony Richardson was effective and threw for 240 yards and 2 touchdowns, but he had one interception.  Ricky Pearsall had a nice 76-yard touchdown as well.  Overall, the offense looked solid but the defense still needs to get better.

The Missouri Tigers will not be easily beaten as they almost upset No. 1 Georgia last week, so Floridaโ€™s defense has got to stop Missouri’s offense on third downs and force the punt. Offensively, the Gators look pretty good, but I’m hoping QB Anthony Richardson can not throw any interceptions this game. That would be nice.

Florida is looking for revenge as they lost last year to Missouri 24-23 in overtime.

I think the Gators will win this one with the final score 28-17.

Time to get fired up!
